Peter King said that the controversy over President Trump's immigration policy, especially the detention of children who have been separated from their parents, is clouding Congress' ability to fix it. King (R-N.Y.) appeared on "America's Newsroom" Wednesday and said that until a legislative fix can be passed, President Trump should suspend his zero-tolerance policy.

Johnson was arrested for transporting a white woman across state lines. Massapequa Congressman Peter King and Arizona Senator John McCain had been seeking a pardon for Johnson since 2009.
